ISO 45001 certification cost UK: what is published

The one published starting figure for UK ISO 45001 certification, and why risk category and contractors decide the rest.

Figures as read on 19 October 2026

Short answer. We found one body figure: Amtivo says ISO 45001 certification "may start from around £2,500". We found no published range by company size from any body. The price turns on the health and safety risk of your work.

What moves the number

  • Risk category. The audit-time rules use three occupational health and safety complexity categories. High is typically construction, heavy manufacturing or processing; medium is light manufacturing with some significant risks; low is office-based.
  • Who counts as personnel. For ISO 45001 the headcount also includes contractors and subcontractors working under your control or influence, so a firm using many subcontractors can have more effective personnel than its payroll.
  • Sites and temporary work sites. Construction firms add site visits.

What we could not find

There is no published range by size and no audit-day table from any body we reviewed. We have not estimated one.
